Hello Everyone,
I’m always nervous prior to class starting. I’m extra distraught this time because I have two new classes starting; The Basics of Watercolor in Painter 12 and The Basics of Brush Making in Painter 12. My other class, Painter 12 a New Beginning, will also start on Saturday; this class is for folks who have a good working knowledge of Painter 11 or earlier and are upgrading to Painter 12. If you are new to Corel Painter and now have Painter 12, Elaina Moore-Kelly teaches the perfect class for you, Introduction to Painter 12 – Part 1. Check out the Digital Art Academy and look at all the class offerings.
I was preparing class material and doing a watercolor made up primarily of washes. In the end, I cropped several paintings from the original. After class gets underway, I’ll post more videos about working with watercolor in Painter 12.
Got to run and get back to work getting the classes ready. Join Elaina or me for some fun in Painter 12.
Enjoy,

Lovely painting. I’m looking forward to taking your 2012 class. Hopefully I’ll be finished with all the surgeries and Santa brings me a Wacom Intuos4. :O)
Good luck with all of the current classes.
Atlanta Eva
Thanks Eva,
Good luck with the surgeries. I know Santa quite well; I’m sure the Intuos 4 is on the gift list.
See you in 2012,

The watercolour is just beautiful Skip! Looking forward to your class.http://owler.com
Thanks Valerie,
To bad Painter isn’t on the iPhone, well, a full version that is. I did download the one that is available…cute.
Everyone…if you want to see some amazing iPhone work, click on Valerie’s link above. I am stunned at what she can do on that little tiny screen.
Thanks again Valerie,

Thanks Skip – and thanks for the link. Actually the link as quoted in your message isn’t the one to my blog, where some of my phone paintings are. I see the full one is in your entry form though – http:owler.com/-blog
The link to plain http://owler.com might be useful to some people though. My owler.com site has what I think is a complete set of samplers of the Painter 11 and 12 brushes – well, the defaults. I made it for my own reference, but it took quite a bit of time and trouble so I thought I would see if it could be useful to others. It was only laid down ‘by rote’ though, without my understanding much about how the brushes were made or adapted. I’m looking forward to learning more from the virtuoso!
Oops! Doesn’t seem to be an Edit facility here. sorry, I made a mistake in my blog address. Should be http://owler.com/-blog
Sorry about that. I didn’t check the link, it looked familiar and I thought it was the iPhone stuff. I do love your lists of brushes and I’m sure others would, too. I can’t believe you took the time to do that.
See you in class,
