Well, it depends on your point of view. The reference, a Camellia, was hanging down as in the picture. I flipped it several times trying to decide which way worked best. I stayed with the way the reference was, but I can understand your suggestion. However, flipped it becomes static. The flower is cemented to the dark area when it is at the bottom. When it is at the top, it appears to be hanging and could drop at any moment…showing kinetic energy. At least that is my opinion. 🙂
