Wacom Posts New Drivers…April 23, 2012

Hello Everyone,

I am slipping.  I totally missed that Wacom posted new drivers on April 23, 2012.  I checked Wacom Europe and it doesn’t look like the driver  posted there, yet.  I did not check any other regions.

I didn’t notice any new features.

Don’t forget to back up your settings by opening the Wacom Tablet Preference File Utility prior to the new install.  I always uninstall the current driver before installing the new one.  Once installed, I restore my settings using the Wacom Tablet Preference File Utility.  This makes it easy to reset the tablet to my custom preferences.

Check for new drivers here.  The new driver is for the intuos and cintiq lines…and includes the Intuos 5, too.

New Wacom Driver has been Posted

Hello Everyone,

This is just a quick announcement to let you know that the Intous Wacom Driver I announced here is now back up and available for download.  I didn’t check for Cintiq or other Wacom Products.  I am not sure this is available for other countries or not.  The driver I downloaded indicated it was World Wide except for Eruope, Africa, and the Middle East.  Check at the Wacom site for those countries.  Wacom added a new feature.  You can see my video about it here.

Wacom Driver 11/17/2012 Adds Enhanced Feature

UPDATE:  The drivers are no longer on the site as of 11/29/2011 10:36 PM.  Hopefully they will be posted again, soon.  I do not know if there was a problem or if it is just a problem with the web site.  Hopefully we will find something out soon.

Hello Everyone,

I just noticed that there is a new Wacom driver available.  There is a new feature or enhanced feature; they changed and improved  the old “Tip Feel Slider” with the detail button.  I find the new version more intuitive than the old version.  I don’t think the driver is available anywhere except the Americas.  I checked Europe and didn’t see it there.

I did a quick video showing the enhanced feature.  Hope you enjoy it.

Wacom Intuos and Cintiq Driver Update for MAC OS X v 10.7, 10.6, and 10.5 (Intel)

Hey Folks,

On October 13, 2011, Wacom released a new driver for the Americas (the United States, Canada, and Latin America).  I glanced at Europe and it didn’t look like the driver was available for that region yet; I didn’t check any others.

There isn’t a new driver for the PC since the one released on Sept 13, 2011.

I suspect this is a significant update.  MAC users…go get it!
