Two Free Webinars…Corel Painter 12.2, Real Wet Oils, Flow Maps, Docking and Real Watercolor

Hello Everyone,

Corel Painter released an update, Corel Painter 12.2; I thought it would be fun to do a webinar.  I decided to have two webinars at different times.  Hopefully, this will allow more folks from more time zones to attend.  Both are on Tuesday, July 24.  One is at noon or  12 PM eastern time, and the other is at 9 PM eastern time.

There are several new features that I want to explore.  I haven’t talked much about Real Wet Oil…so I would like to spend a good bit of time with those variants.  I love the docking feature, and I will look at it in detail.  Of course there will be time to answer questions from the attendees.

The webinar will be recorded and links provided.

Register Here for Tuesday, July 24th, 12:00 PM Eastern Time

Some of you posted questions in the blog that I haven’t answered.  I will try to answer those questions, too.

Here is another watercolor done with Corel Painter 12.2 flow maps and real watercolors.  Hope you like it.

Please register for the webinar.  If all goes well, I will continue to have them.

Enjoy,

Skip

“Hey wait a minute.  May I come too?”

“Kevin, I have told you that you may not attend.  You would just heckle me anyway.  No more discussion.”

“Look, last time I didn’t come, but this time I am coming.  And of course I will heckle you.”

“You do and I will not introduce you to Maggie, the new cat.  You have begged to meet her.  So what’s it going to be…Maggie or the webinar?”

“Phooey!  I choose both.”

“Oh good grief!”

  1. Hi Skip,

I’ve registerd…Michael has an extra job that evening so the timing of this is perfect for me. Looking forward to it. 🙂

  2. Very much looking forward to this. I’ll have to catch the first one on replay, but will attend the second session short of a natural disaster or my ex mother in-law shows up again, if so as customary I will be cowering under the front porch until it is safe again.

      • Ciao Skip, mi ero registrata per vedere il video ma non sono riuscita, è possibile vedere una registrazione? Grazie e complimenti!

        • Ciao Cristiana,

          • HI , i’m a friend of CRISTIANA ; she would like to know if u can send her a guide to dowload yours brushes.
She uses Mac Painter 12.2. Thanks a lot!! Laura

            • Hi Laura,
I have a PDF and a video about loading brushes. The video would be the best and you can find it here: http://skipallenpaints.com/2012/02/28/corel-painter-12-1-brush-management-a-primer/ The PDf might be useful, too, but it is more technical and trying to translate into Italian may be a bit hard. Ask her to take a look at the video and if that doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll try to develop a guide for her.
Thanks for helping Laura…I use Google translate to answer folks who send notes in other languages. It isn’t a perfect system, but it is better than nothing.

  3. Holy heavens, your painting above is absolutely spectacular. And you are going to teach us – yippee. I don’t mind if Kevin comes either.

  4. Hey you … morning! …. I signed up for the 9 PM class .. but am certainly hoping that it is at 9 pm “Eastern Time” … and .. NOT at “Easter”!!!! I I would truly love to attend the webinar before Easter! LOLOL! .. couldn’t help but be a smarty pants here …. looking forward to this dear Skip ….
..and, how do I get my little avatar up next to my name Skip, instead of the design?
    Hugs….Charlie

    • Hey Cholls,
Oh Good Grief…if we went back to Easter the flow maps wouldn’t be available…LOL. Thanks for noticing my error; I have fixed it…hopefully correctly.

For your avatar, you need to set up a Gravatar, which is a globally accepted Avatar. It’s easy and free. Go to http://en.gravatar.com/ and set up yours. Then sites like mine can pick up the global avatar…I think that is how it works…I set mine up a while ago and I don’t exactly remember what I did, but I do know it was easy.

      Big Hugs,

    • Hi Soumaya,
I’m glad you can come, and thank you for the nice comment about my work. I’m hoping this is a typo or you live in the Western US, but you said you signed up for the 9:00 AM Session. There is a 12 PM and a 9PM session…both Eastern time. I bet you live in the West.
      Thanks again,
      Skip

  6. Hi Mr. Allen:
I’m waiting last 15 min to attend your webbinar, from Italy.
I’m sure it will be as great as your “skip Allen Paints” web site.
    Thanks for all.
    Sincerely
    Ed

  7. Hi Skip,
This painting is lovely…I wish I hadn’t missed the webinar. I hope you don’t mind, I have saved it as a background for one of my monitors.

Quick Q for you….I notice in your tutorial videos (which I’m so thankful that you take the time to make them) that your flow map is different to the standard that is in painter 12. Is this because you made it yourself?

I fiddle with the properties of the flow map but I’m not satisfied with the result.

    Cheers
    Bec
