Hello Friends,
Three days ago I mentioned there were new Wacom Product Drivers for Macs. Apparently, there were issues with the release and Wacom has pulled the new drivers from their site.
If you did download and installed the driver, you are probably having problems. You will want to uninstall the new driver and re-install the old driver. The old driver is available at Wacom Drivers.
To correct the problem,
Back up your Wacom preferences
Detach your Wacom tablet from your computer
Uninstall the new driver
Restart your computer
Install the old driver
Reboot your computer
Reconnect your Wacom Tablet
Don’t be mad at Wacom…these things happen…just hold tight and I bet they will put out a new driver soon.
Enjoy,
Skip
I am so glad that I waited. Thanks so much Dear Skipper.
Thanks Skip- I waited too. If it ain’t broke, I tend to not fix it, so I’ll wait another few weeks and see what develops.
Hey Wardie,
Yep, if you are not experiencing any problems, you can wait. But I believe some folks were having issues and so was I, but I wasn’t sure if it was video card related or Cintiq related. The update for the PC did help and I am glad I updated. But, the Mac update has trouble. I hate that for Mac users, but these things do happen. Do keep looking at Wacom’s driver site…I’m sure a new one will be released soon.
The driver for Intuos pro 27thApril is no good either for my Windows 7pro
Hi John,
Since you are staying with Windows 7 Pro, you may want to stay with the older drivers. If you update to Windows 10, then you may want to use these latest drivers. Good luck and thanks for the comment.
It’s Wacom’s fault. I’m complaining! 😉
You go get ’em Tim. They will never know what hit them. Cheers my friend…and thanks for letting me know that there were issues with this Driver.
